Great collection of regents that provides a very broad number of results, but why, please tell me, why would you go with crystalline base for the most useful ones, the reaction is very faint , it is leaking everywhere because the bottlecaps get clogged by small crystalline bits making them difficult to seal, it also really messy to handle, and to get the right amount out of the tiny hole.
I will have to get a replacement set of erlich froehde mecke marquise and Liebermann in liquid form, apart from that, the rest of the kit is good

huge satisfaction. My friends and I have already tested several substances and thanks to this we have found out which suppliers are trustworthy and which are not. I immediately bought a second set which is located in the pub where we normally meet (the staff is very helpful and wants to do a test once in a while for safekeeping) so that I don’t have to carry it with me all the time.

Easy to use without a doubt.
When first getting a test kit i thought that it would be complicated and need some practice before knowing how to use it. However this was not the case. Right after receiving it instructions were clear as day.

1. Look up the substance on this website in the results section.
2. Pick out the reagents which correspond to the substance you wish to test.
3. Test the substance. (There are even some videos showing you how its done)

Its really simple, and makes use of substances way more safe as you have to know what goes into your body. Otherwise you would be betting your life in exchange for a high.

Sehr einfach zu benutzen – das hatte ich nicht erwartet, ich dachte es wird total kompliziert.
Ist aber gut machbar und verständlich! Hervorragende Sache.

Der Farbabgleich ist noch nicht perfekt, weil die Farbskalen sehr klein sind und auf der Rückseite dieses riesigen Blattes, das man dann immer anders falten muss. Ein paar Streifen beizulegen wäre viel schöner gewesen.

Der Spatel – es ist nur einer, und er hat zwei Enden. Man braucht für manche Tests aber mehr. Wie denken die Macher sich das? Soll man ihn zwischendruch auswaschen gehen? Das ist unpraktisch. Da sollte man vorsorgen und vielleicht ein paar eigene Mini-Spatel bereithalten.

Works pretty well; I preferred the 100% fluid version, but EU regulations made those illegal.
Useful advice:
– Make yourself familiar with the process at home using e.g. Aspirin. There are plenty of substances in any home to try out the process before taking the kit to the field.
– Use a clean spatula for each reagent/subtance combination or you’ll contaimate the reagents really quickly.
– Have plenty of water handy to rinse the porcelain tray. Rub it dry with cloth or paper towels, then repeat. (Don’t start with paper towels, some tests are pretty corrosive.)
– If you have some Sodium carbonate handy, use that to neutralize the reagents before rinsing. Your sink and nature will thank you.

This test kit has everything you need in it to test your substances, it took me two tries to get a positive, but that was 100% my lack of experience using the test kit. I found very clear instructions in the video and was able to get a positive result, the second set up. Thank you for making it so easy for people to test the substances.

In reply to W.. Thank you for your feedback! As for the container, there is no need to keep vermiculite, it's purpose is to secure reagents in transit. As for the results that you found incorrect, we have reached out to you by email to discuss that in more details. We are always improving and updating our materials with each print, many factors can influence color change reactions and it's an ongoing task to take all use cases into account.

I really like this kit and the porcelain plate that it comes with, and you can’t beat the price! I am taking off one star for two reasons, but they’re not that big of a issue. 1) the container that the reagents come in is a bit too small, so it takes a lot of effort to fit both the reagents and the vermiculite inside. 2) Some of the results references on the included booklet and online are incorrect, and some of the results online actually contradict one another. But overall I’m very satisfied and will absolutely purchase from Protestkit in the future when this kit expires. Thank you!

Excellent test kit containing reagent tests for testing the largest spectrum of potential substances among all reagent testing kit suppliers that i know of.
If your reagent is not in this kit, you should ask yourself if it even exists.
Very good usage documentation, both offline as paper printed manual as well as digital videos available both on PROTESTKIT and youtube.
To accelerate identification of substances by color changes, please use the provided RESULTS menu on PROTESTKIT, which comes in very handy.

Overall an excellent test kit, ripe with opportunities for you to identify all kinds of substances.
Full marks from me, 5 out of 5 stars.

Side note: please wash your scoops very well.
If you don’t and you pull a scoop out of a reagent bottle and it’s already reacted showing color, then you’ve likely contaminated your entire reagent (bottle).
Use a toothpick or a shortened plastic straw and throw it into the sink after immediately after the first use, then dilute your scoops with plenty of water dispose of them into a garbage bin.
