Clonidine (known by the trade names Catapres, Kapvay, Nexiclon, Clophelin, and others) is a depressant substance of the arylaminoimidazoline class. It is primarily used to treat high blood pressure, but can also be used for a variety of conditions that include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, tic disorders, substance withdrawal, migraine, diarrhea, and certain pain conditions.
