Methocarbamol is a centrally-acting skeletal muscle relaxant with sedative properties used for acute musculoskeletal pain. It should be avoided in geriatric patients due to increased fall risk and is contraindicated in myasthenia gravis. The injectable form is contraindicated in renal impairment. Seizures have been reported, particularly with IV administration or in patients with epilepsy history. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
