Nifoksipam

Nifoxipam is a synthetic depressant of the nitrobenzodiazepine class and an active metabolite of flunitrazepam. It has potential applications in the short-term management of anxiety, insomnia, and acute seizures, but is currently available exclusively through research chemical vendors as a novel psychoactive substance. As with other benzodiazepines, it carries a risk of dependence and habit formation with repeated use.
