Aminorex is an amphetamine-like stimulant that was originally marketed for weight loss but withdrawn due to its association with pulmonary arterial hypertension, which can be fatal. It is considered illicit in most countries (Schedule I in the US). There is a significant risk of pulmonary hypertension with extended use. Effects include increased energy, euphoria, and appetite suppression. Original pharmaceutical pills (Menocil) contained 14mg aminorex fumarate.
