Therapeutic doses of 10-40 mg provide mild stimulation comparable to caffeine, while recreational doses of 40-70 mg produce more pronounced euphoria and stimulation. The substance has a relatively favorable safety profile at low doses but can cause typical stimulant side effects including tachycardia, anxiety, and insomnia at higher doses. Use volumetric dosing for accuracy, limit sessions to avoid tolerance, monitor blood pressure, and avoid redosing late to preserve sleep.
