Ephenidine is a dissociative anesthetic of the diarylethylamine class that acts as an NMDA receptor antagonist. It emerged on research chemical markets in early 2015 and has been sold online as a designer drug. Structurally related to diphenidine and MXP, ephenidine is widely reported to produce a smoother dissociative experience compared to those compounds. Very little is known about this substance, and considerable caution is warranted given the limited safety data available.
