First synthesized by Alexander Shulgin in 1974 and documented in PiHKAL, it stands out as one of the most potent and longest-lasting compounds in its series, with effects spanning 10-20 hours. 2C-P is notably dose-sensitive with a narrow margin between adequate and excessive doses, and is associated with intense body load including nausea and muscle tension.
