4-MeO-Butyrfentanyl is a rare synthetic opioid and analogue of fentanyl, distinct from the related compound butyrfentanyl. It is classified as a research chemical with habit-forming properties. As with other fentanyl analogues, overdose carries a significant risk of respiratory depression.
