Fill-out a survey, get a test and win lab analysis
We are proud to announce the beginning of our research project “Drug Checking Community Report”. This study aims to measure how effective harm reduction tool are test kits. What is unique about this initiative is collecting surveys both online and offline, which will help check the effect of consultations done during events.
How to take part in the study?
- Fill out the first part of the survey at https://protestkit.eu/survey. At the end of the survey you will recieve a discount code required to redeem a free single-use reagent test of your choice or a fentanyl test strip.
- If you order from PRO Test you will also recieve an invitation to the second part of the survey required to take part in the contest for free lab analysis at Kykeon Analytics.
Why take part in the study?
- You will help find out if drug checking test kits are an effective harm reduction tool.
- You will recieve a code to use in PRO Test store to redeem a free single use reagent test of your choice or a fentanyl test strip.
- You can win a free lab analysis. Out of those who fill out both forms, on 31.12.2025 we will award one person with a code to use for complete lab analysis at Kykeon Analytics.
About the study:
In light of recent scientific evidence (Misham et al, Barrat et al, Valente et al), it is known that substance check services are effective in reducing risk. People who use drug checkpoints as a result of consultations often choose to take less than planned, or even forgo use if an undesirable substance is detected. As summarized in a European Union report on drug checking:
- It can attract recreational users to harm reduction, who are otherwise unreachable
- It can identify substances that contain unwanted substances, allowing for quick response
- It can help avoid overdoses or deaths by providing information about concentration and contaminants
Research question which we ask is “does having a drug checking kit help reduce risky behaviors of people who use psychoactive compounds?”.
Form of the study:
- First survey
- Second survey, to fill after using a test kit and using or discarding substance tested
Research schedule:
- 04.2025: pilot roll-out of the first part of the survey
- 05-12.2025: conducting both parts of the survey online
- 06-09.2025: conducting offline survey at music events
Research coordinators:
- Jerzy Afanasjew (PRO Test / Chemical Safety sp. z o.o.)
- dr. Jan Szczypiński
