The Saw stamp is used on the illegal market for tablets of different composition. The name, the press and the colour are not reliable marks of a particular batch. Even tablets bought in the same place and looking the same can come from different production runs.
Laboratory results show wide differences in dose, purity and adulterants. A tablet sold as ecstasy can carry an unexpectedly high MDMA dose, other stimulants, or substances that were never declared.
