  EZ Test for MDMA Quantity contains a colorimetric reagent to estimate the concentration in a sample in which the presence of MDMA has been identified. Before using a reagent quantity test it is essential to rule out cuts to reduce the risk of a false positive result.

  EZ Test for MDMA Quantity includes a reagent test and instructions. Each ampoule contains enough reagent for at least 1 test. Oxygen-free hermetically sealed glass ampoule protects reagent from light, plastic and moisture to ensure prolonged shelf life.

• How to use EZ Test for MDMA Quantity?

  GET ALL TOOLS

  Get your sample and reagent ampoule.

  PREPARE SMALL SAMPLE

  Check the sample size in the instructions provided. If testing a tablet, powder, or crystal, crush to a fine dust. If testing a liquid, dry a drop on paper or a clean ceramic surface. A larger sample may cause a stronger reaction. A new sample is needed for each test.

  ADD PREPARED SAMPLE TO REAGENT

  Break open glass ampoule by gently pushing bottom of plastic cap outwards with your thumb pointing down. Do not crush the glass ampoule, after a few soft pushes and 10-20 seconds of trying the ampoule head will snap off without any effort. Add prepared small sample inside opened glass ampoule. Cover with included plastic cap and shake for 2-3 seconds.

  OBSERVE

  Disregard any color change after time specified in the included instructions. Do not overinterpret your results, consider that color change reaction is always fastest and most vivid in the part where biggest surface of reagent touches sample, compared to its edges. Over time reaction will degrade due to air contact. Take photos.

  COMPARE RESULTS

  Compare color change with instructions. Reagents can indicate PRESENCE, but not QUANTITY. Adulterants can be detected with reagents only if they cause a darker color change than the expected substance. To detect all ingredients and estimate their amount pair reagents with a TLC purity test kit.

• How to handle MDMA reagent test?

  Drug testing kits contain toxic and/or corrosive chemicals, strong enough to burn skin and clothing. Keep out of eyes and mouth. Keep away from children. Always use in a well-ventilated area. Wear gloves and protective eyewear. Never point towards face etc. If you get some on you/clothing, then immediately wash with lots of soap and water. Dispose of any unwanted reagent with running water, ventilate. Store reagents standing up and away from heat in a cool, dark place.

  Reagents deteriorate with time or due to contact with air, especially if exposed to sunlight or not refrigerated. If you are uncertain whether the reagent will work, test it with an already confirmed sample.

  METHOD 1   

  If testing a benzo/opioid pill, crush one in a plastic baggie and dump out the powder.  Then add 10 drops of water into the baggie and mix well. Dip the test strip no higher than the thick line. Wait 15 seconds. Put the strip away and check in 5 minutes.

  METHOD 2

  Mix 100 mg of sample in 200 ml of water. Dip the test strip no higher than the thick line. Wait 15 seconds. Put the strip away and check in 5 minutes.

  COMPARE RESULTS

  1 line = fentanyl, 2 lines = no fentanyl. Faint lines also count. Ignore fentanyl tester results after 5 minutes.

• What is each reagent for identification for?

  EZ Test for MDMA Quantity includes a reagent test for MDMA. It is used to presumptively estimate quantity, however it doesn’t identify any substance on its own.

  To compare reagents, check the table below. A ➕ sign indicates confirmation of the expected substance; at least two are recommended. A ➖ sign indicates exclusion of specific admixtures. A blank field indicates no use.

  

  • Cannabis (4-AP) – main test for THC / CBD, helps rule out synthetic cannabinoids
  • Ehrlich – main test for all indoles, e.g. lysergamides and tryptamines but also 5-HTP and more, secondary test for cocaine
  • Hofmann – main test for lysergamides and tryptamines, more precise but slower than Ehrlich
  • Froehde – main test for most powders, secondary test for ketamine and amphetamines, long shelf life
  • Liebermann – main test for most powders, secondary test for cocaine (detects levamisole)

  Reagents for identification can indicate PRESENCE, but not QUANTITY. Mixtures can only be detected with reagents if the additive causes a darker color reaction than the expected substance. Test strips can detect PRESENCE in any sample. To detect all components and estimate their quantity, combine the test strips and identification reagents with a TLC purity test.
