What was found in tested Soundcloud pills?

Soundcloud pill reports can differ in colour, contents and strength. Recorded samples are most often pink (57%), orange (18%) and purple (10%). Of the 365 samples, 332 had a measured MDMA content: from 28 mg to 299 mg, with half coming in above 186 mg and one in ten above 240 mg.

The photos and reports can help you find visually similar results, but they do not prove that an untested pill comes from the same batch. Appearance cannot identify a tablet, which is why every sample here was tested rather than judged by eye.

The cloud is stitched together from waveform bars, the mark of the audio platform Alexander Ljung and Eric Wahlforss built in Berlin in 2007. It reached tablets the way most club-culture logos do: it reads instantly to the people buying, and a cloud outline is easy to cut into a press die.

What turns up in reports rarely matches the brand's orange, though. Most SoundCloud tablets recorded here are pink, with orange, purple and grey behind it. DrugsPRO currently holds 365 photographed samples under this logo.

The Soundcloud stamp is used on the illegal market for tablets of different composition. The name, the press and the colour are not reliable marks of a particular batch. Even tablets bought in the same place and looking the same can come from different production runs.

Laboratory results show wide differences in dose, purity and adulterants. A tablet sold as ecstasy can carry an unexpectedly high MDMA dose, other stimulants, or substances that were never declared. That is what raises the risk of overheating, circulatory problems, serotonin syndrome and overdose, and it is exactly what a test answers before anyone takes anything.

A reagent test tells you which group of substances a sample belongs to. How much of it is in the tablet is what a purity or quantity test answers, and a full laboratory analysis names every component. Test a small portion, use more than one reagent, and compare the result with recent laboratory alerts.
