Drug Purity Report Week 36, 2026

DrugsPRO sample 20260903AU3-e

This article has been translated to English.

Drug Purity Report #36/26. In this edition of the “last week on drugs”, more concerning news from the drug market. PMMA continues to be detected in Western and Central Europe, same as novel synthetic benzodiazepines and cannabinoids.

Data fatigue is real, so here we come to give you the gist of what’s going on out there. For more details, photos, and other information on thousands of drugs, head out straight to the DrugsPRO app.

  1. PMMA has been again confirmed in Austria, this time in “555” pills. We are reminding readers that PMMA is an extremely dangerous substance, particularly prone to easily cause overdose results such as a serotonin syndrome. Multiple pill designs have been detected with PMMA this year already, most without any additional compounds, which proves home testing kits particularly efficient at spotting the bunk tablets.
  2. Etizolam is still around. A sample confirmed in Maribor, Slovenia, contained over 4 mg, a heavy dose. Unexpectedly strong benzodiazepines pose significant risk of addiction, injury and overall risky behaviour. We strongly recommend to never use such compounds without the care of an appropriate physician.
  3. 9β-hydroxy Hexahydrocannabinol – rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? Every week brings about new synthetic cannabinoids being synthesized on the black market. Due to the abundance of CBD products, manufacturing of fakes have completely take over both grey and black market, particularly hash and other preprocessed products. HHC unfortunately at this moment is hard to detect without a lab analysis service, which we strongly recommend to check – already over 200 spots over the world allow you to test your drugs.

Last Week at a Glance

  • 54 samples from 5 countries (Austria, Denmark, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland) were included this week.
  • 31 samples contained a quantified result, including 21 pills and 1 LSD sample.
  • 9 samples contained more than one detected ingredient.
  • No supported purity or content change was available for comparison.

What People Searched For

Below is a list of substances people are searching for in the DrugsPRO app when coming from Google, ordered by how often they were searched over the past week. Something suddenly on the rise can stand out in search interest before it shows up in lab results.

Substances in Focus

Three substances covered in more detail this week: what they are, and how they are dosed and how long they last by route of administration. Doses and durations come from the DrugsPRO library and describe the substance itself, not any tested sample.

PMMA

PMMA, para-methoxymethylamphetamine, is a structural hybrid of PMA and methamphetamine that is sold as ecstasy, historically under logos such as Mitsubishi and Jumbo. Read more on euda.europa.eu

Oral

No dose range is shown for this substance. There is no dose that makes it safe, and drug-checking services advise against taking it at all.

Etizolam

Etizolam is not approved for medical use in many countries but is prescribed in some (e.g., Japan, India) for anxiety and insomnia. It is 6-10 times more potent than diazepam milligram for milligram. Overdose risk increases significantly when combined with other depressants, particularly opioids and alcohol. Read more on dose.wiki

HHC

Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is a cannabinoid analogue that has been marketed as an “alternative cannabinoid” since 2021. It is a saturated cannabinoid, meaning it has no double bonds in its chemical structure, which differentiates it from other cannabinoids such as THC. Read more on psychonautwiki.org

Purity and Content

Below, the big number in each row is the typical result for 31 August–6 September 2026: half the samples came in stronger, half weaker. The smaller one in brackets is the same thing measured over the last twelve months.

No substance had enough quantified samples for this reporting period.

Most Common Adulterants and Other Impurities

Across the last 365 days, 1,953 mixed samples contained 133 distinct additional ingredients.
